Bonnie Lloyd, Owner
B.S., Information Systems Management, UMD
Bonnie incorporated Griffin Networks in 1997 and manages its day-to-day operations, as well as the preparation of client proposals and contract negotiations. Prior to incorporating Griffin Networks, Bonnie worked as a Project Manager for several Federal Government contractors, managing software development for the Department of Energy (DOE), the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and the Department of Labor (DOL). In her free time, she enjoys attending Maryland Terrapin athletic events, volunteering, reading, and crossword puzzles.
Frank Lloyd, President
1991 – Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
Frank joined Griffin Networks in 1999, and for many years was its lead technical support. Before joining Griffin Networks, Frank was a partner in Stewart/Lloyd Networking Services. He has over 35 years of experience in the IT field including software development for the Airline Pilots Association, Fannie Mae, and by contract to the U.S. Secret Service. Frank spent 10 years with MCI/Systemhouse initially as an in-house computer networking manager, and later troubleshooter. Frank is an avid car enthusiast; collecting, restoring, and racing classic muscle cars.
John Lloyd, Vice President
2009 – State of MD Security Systems Agency License, Ubiquiti® Certified
John has 15 years of experience in the Computer Networking, Cabling, and Security Camera disciplines, 12 of those with Griffin Networks. John is the primary salesman at Griffin Networks, hardware procurement guru, as well as our wireless expert. Previously, John managed the computer network for the National Community Pharmacists Association. His hobbies are cars and camping. John and his wife, Pamela, have two daughters.
Abraham Byrd, Network Engineer
2011 – Microsoft Certified Professional
Abe has been with Griffin Networks since 2007. Abe works with various clients managing their computer networks, making IT recommendations, and overseeing IT projects. Currently, his main focus is managing a client’s 100-user network in Rockville. As well as being active in his Church, Abe enjoys music, reading, and online gaming.
John McCann, Network Engineer
B.S.Ed., Physics and Math; M.S. Ed., Math and Computer Science
John has more than 15 years of experience as a Network Support contractor. He enjoys interfacing with customers, understanding their varied business needs, growth goals, and challenges and then creates action plans for continuous improvement. In addition, John is involved in new product implementation, marketing and communications. John is a retired educator with 33 years in the classroom as a Physics Instructor. He enjoys boating and fishing and spends his free time on or near the Chesapeake Bay. John and his wife, Barbara, reside in Waynesboro, PA. They have two grown daughters, Kathleen and Meghan.
Teri Whittaker, Office Manager
Teri came to Griffin Networks in 2012 with extensive experience in office management including the Accounting and Payroll Departments at a healthcare organization, as well as Office Manager for a building contractor. Teri’s strengths include communication, organization, time management, documentation, and scheduling. She is an active volunteer in the local community.
Joseph Kohan, Senior Network Engineer
Joseph has been an IT professional for 20 years. Joseph is the architect of Griffin Network’s proprietary Internet-2-Go router, which seamlessly transitions between 2 or more Internet source providers during times of outages or overloads. Joseph is an expert in Microsoft Server 2008, 2008R2 and 2012 Platforms, as well as Remote Access, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls, and Active Directory. Joseph is an enthusiastic follower of the Washington Football Team, professional tennis, and the NBA. He enjoys playing table tennis and watching movies.
Jerry Vermillion, Chief Estimator & Project Manager
B.I.C.S.I. Certified Technician, Level 3
Jerry is the Chief Estimator and Project Manager for the Cabling division of Griffin Networks. Jerry has over twenty-five years’ experience in the Low Voltage cabling field and has worked on a wide variety of projects including high profile commercial and government projects. He holds a B.I.C.S.I. Level 3 certification. Jerry resides in Sterling, Virginia, with his wife, Angel. He is a proud father of seven children. In addition to spending time with his family, Jerry is an avid sports fan. His favorite teams include the Washington Football Team, Capitals, Wizards, and the Baltimore Orioles.
Adam Ajamian, Network Technician
B.S. Cybersecurity
Adam has two years of experience as a Network Technician at Griffin Networks. Adam works with varied clients to provide remote technical assistance. In addition, Adam provides onsite support for several clients and assists on a variety of IT projects. In his spare time, Adam is a musician at his church and an avid gamer.
