Project Manager
This is a Direct Hire role with excellent benefits.
In this role, you will manage low voltage technology installation projects including copper and fiber cabling, camera systems, wireless access, etc. for our customers in new construction and retrofit environments.
Responsibilities:
- Full management of new and retrofit low voltage construction jobs from planning stage to completion.
- Develop and execute the project plan including scheduling, staging, installation guide development, reporting and other project activities and milestones.
- Be able to read and understand blueprints. Create as-built drawings.
- Be willing to take direction and complete necessary documentation for all jobs or company related requirements.
- Manage the customer experience and meet or exceed all project requirements.
- Ensure gross profit margin is maintained or improved during the life of the project.
- Provide customer written and verbal reports, provide project status, and attend all customer conference calls/meetings as required.
- Ensure both external and internal project milestones and metrics are met or exceeded.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that the department maintains cash flow by rapid completion and invoicing.
- Ensure the project follows established processes including Statement of Work (SoW), Installation Guides, Staging Guides, etc.
- Liaison with vendors, subs and main office in scheduling and ordering material and labor in order to complete projects.
- Maintain a clean, safe and productive work environment for all construction and service jobs.
- Will be leading the work of others, including subs, to complete projects.
- Other responsibilities as required by senior management.
Required Skills:
- 2+ years experience in telecommunications project management.
- Experience with copper and fiber low voltage cable, camera systems, wireless, and similar products and systems desired.
- Experience managing multi-site telecom installations and rollouts.
- Strong project management skills managing complex, multi-faceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth.
Cable Installer
Cable Installer 1:
- Pulling and routing CAT5 or CAT 6 cable in new or existing commercial or residential environments
- Must be able to see colors/knowledge of color codes
- Terminating copper cable (CAT 5, CAT 5e, CAT 6, Coax)
- Testing cable/troubleshooting networking issues
- Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)
- Follow instructions of Project lead
- Other duties as assigned
Cable Installer 2:
- Cable Installer 1 Plus:
- BICSI Level 1/2 Certification/2-3 years’ experience
- Dressing and terminating distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels)
- Terminating Jacks
- Interpret blue print designs
- Follow Estimate SOW
- Terminate Fiber Cable
- Effectively interact with Client (change orders, sign-off)
- Communicate with Managers/Office Staff as to task/job % completion
- Direct and Assist Cable Installer 1
- Other duties as assigned
Cable Installer 3: (Senior Tech)
- Cable Installer 2 Plus:
- BICSI Level 3 Certification/5+ years’ experience
- Ability to manage job onsite
- Full Dress Network Closets
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and provide two professional references.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must adhere to OSHA safety standards
